Special session next week will focus on property insurance reforms
House and Senate leaders announced their gameplan Tuesday for a December 12-16 special session, issuing a proclamation that calls for major property insurance reforms.
Lawmakers will pass reforms to provide Floridians “reliable and affordable property insurance,” and other legislation to bring “specific tax relief and financial assistance” to victims of hurricanes Ian and Nicole, Senate President Kathleen Passidomo and House Speaker Paul Renner said in a joint statement.
The proclamation also calls for the creation of a statewide “toll credit program” for frequent Florida commuters.
