Dade Legal Aid’s latest year-long Leadership Academy kicked off this month. “The Dade Legal Aid Leadership Academy is a very special program designed to mentor our next generation of leaders in our legal community by emphasizing pro bono service as an integral part of the practice of law,” said U.S. District Court Judge Rodolfo “Rudy” Armando Ruiz, II, who has served as a leader for the academy since its inception.

Dade Legal Aid launched Class VII of its Leadership Academy August 24.

Fellows in the academy will participate in a year-long program designed to foster professional relationships, effective leadership skills, and deeper understanding of issues facing underrepresented members of the community.
