After crossing the 1,000-volunteer threshold in January, Florida’s Free Legal Answer program will have much to celebrate for its five-year anniversary in May.

According to the latest figures, Florida Free Legal Answers logged 20,838 questions between its May 1, 2017, inception and March 31. Volunteer lawyers tackled 18,059 of them, for an impressive, 87% answer rate.

The national answer rate hovers between 65% and 75%, estimates Bar Programs Division Assistant Director Frank Digon-Greer.
