Gulfcoast Legal Services (GLS) recently received funding from the COVID-19 Response Initiative of Gulf Coast Community Foundation and Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation to address financial inequality caused by the pandemic.

Direct legal services will be provided to vulnerable Sarasota residents, helping them with medical bills, contracts, public utilities issues, debt collection defense, creditor harassment, and more.

“A family’s ability to retain affordable housing is inextricably linked to their financial stability,” said Gulfcoast Legal Services Chief Executive Officer Tammy Greer. “GLS works to provide holistic legal assistance to ensure families can continue to afford housing, especially as rents continue to rise.””
