Florida has become the first state in the ABA’s “Free Legal Answers” program — out of 40 jurisdictions across America — to cross the 1,000 volunteer attorneys mark.

As of February 4, Florida Free Legal Answers has signed up 1,003 volunteers, according to Bar Programs Division Assistant Director Frank Digon-Greer, noting Florida’s volunteers have answered over 17,000 questions since the ABA-sponsored program began in May 2017.

Free Legal Answers is an ABA program that allows states to recruit volunteer attorneys to answer online questions proposed by low-income Floridians who need help with a legal problem.
