UF Law hosts Heirs Property Act seminar today
Thomas W. Mitchell, a Texas A&M Law professor and MacArthur “Genius Grant” award recipient, will be headlining a February 2 heirs property seminar at the University of Florida College of Law.
The seminar, “Preserving Communities and Family Wealth: Understanding the Heirs Property Problem and Finding Solutions,” will feature lawyers, academics, and local officials who supported Florida’s passage of the 2020 Uniform Partition of Heirs Property Act.
“We’re going to talk about the Uniform Partition of Heirs Property Act, how it’s working, and what our experience as practitioners has been,” said Tallahassee lawyer Jami Coleman of Williams & Coleman.
