Court sets February 8 arguments in communications technology case
The Florida Supreme Court has set oral arguments for February 8 in a pandemic-related rules petition designed to facilitate greater use of remote technology.
The Supreme Court’s “Workgroup on the Continuity of Court Operations and Proceedings During and After COVID-19,” otherwise known as the COVID-19 Workgroup, filed the petition July 1.
The Supreme Court’s December 15 order invites “the proponent of any change and any party filing a comment with the Committee prior to the filing of the report, or with this Court,” to participate in oral argument. The order sets a January 4 deadline for filing requests.
