With millions of Americans considered on the brink of homelessness due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Central Florida lawmaker is renewing her attempt to “level the playing field” for renters.

Rep. Anna Eskamani, D-Orlando, filed HB 6005 on August 2. The legislative session convenes January 11, with interim committee hearings set to begin in September. The bill has yet to be referred to a committee, and no companion has been filed.
