A bill to help clerks of court better manage their funds and cope with budget shortfalls has passed the Florida Legislature and is headed to Gov. Ron DeSantis.
SB 838, the top priority of Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers, passed the House 117-0 on April 27. It had passed the Senate on April 21 40-0.
“This is a really important first step to help the clerks better serve our constituents,” said Rep. Webster Barnaby, R-Orange City, the House sponsor of the bill, as the House took its vote.
