A measure to raise the 60% threshold for voter approval of constitutional amendments to a two-thirds majority is now moving in the House.

The House Public Integrity and Elections Committee voted 11-6 on March 29 to approve HJR 61 by Rep. Rick Roth, R-Palm Beach Gardens. A companion, SJR 1238 by Sen. Ana Maria Rodriguez, R-Doral, has one more committee stop before reaching the Senate floor.
