Rep. Anthony Rodriguez

A perennial effort to eliminate “permanent alimony” and establish a legal presumption that equal time sharing is in the best interest of children, is moving again through the Florida Legislature.

The House Civil Justice and Property Rights Subcommittee voted 10-6 on March 23 to approve HB 1559, which is co-sponsored by Rep. Anthony Rodriguez, R-Miami, and Rep. Alex Andrade, R-Pensacola and an attorney.
