A “housekeeping” bill would include Florida’s five criminal conflict and civil regional counsel offices in a variety of statutes that cover public defenders passed the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Subcommittee on March 16.

HB 685 was introduced by Rep. Chuck Brannan, R-Lake City, and Rep. Juan Fernandez-Barquin, R-Miami.
