A measure that would ask voters next year to abolish the Constitution Revision Commission is gaining steam in the House.

The Civil Justice and Property Rights Subcommittee voted 12-4 on March 17 to approve HJR 1179 by Rep. Mike Beltran, R-Valrico and an attorney.
