The Florida Association of Collaborative Professionals has created Minimum Standards for Accreditation for the lawyers and mental-health and financial specialists who work in the collaborative law process.

“Collaborative attorneys, mental-health professionals, and financial professionals should be specially trained to help their clients resolve disputes in a peaceful, private, and respectful manner,” the association said in a press release.

The standards will help promote that goal, and those who complete the training will get a special badge recognizing the achievement.
