Novey+Gonzalez, LLC., will receive the 2021 Law Firm Commendation at the annual Pro Bono Awards virtual ceremony on Jan. 28 hosted by the Supreme Court of Florida. The commendation honors significant contributions in the delivery of legal services to individuals or groups on a pro bono basis. The commendation will be presented by Chief Justice Charles T. Canady in a Jan. 28 ceremony streamed live by the Supreme Court of Florida.

Shannon Novey and Christin Gonzalez of Novey+Gonzalez, legacy boutique law firm that handles complex family law matters throughout North Florida, including Leon, Bay, Franklin, Jefferson, Okaloosa and Walton counties are dedicated to serving low-income Floridians. Novey+Gonzalez regularly takes pro bono family law cases, many of which are referred by the Legal Aid Foundation, but some clients reach out directly, too.

To date, Novey+Gonzalez has provided pro bono or low-fee (low bono) services for more than a dozen family law cases. In 2017 and 2018, they gave an estimated 50 hours.
