Jane A. Rose of Lutz has become chair of the Florida Board of Bar Examiners, which implements the Florida Supreme Court’s constitutional authority to oversee and regulate admissions of new attorneys to The Florida Bar.
Rose, a senior assistant county attorney with the Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office, became chair on November 1. Admitted to The Florida Bar in 1990, Rose previously served on The Florida Bar’s Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee and the Judicial Administration and Evaluation Committee, and previously received a gubernatorial appointment to the Statewide Judicial Nominating Commission for Judges of Compensation Claims.
Rose currently serves on the board of directors of the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers and the George Edgecomb Bar Association. Rose has served on the FBBE since November 1, 2016. She attended the University of Massachusetts where she received her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, and Widener University Delaware Law School.
