Bill to shield appellate court clerks’ personal data advances again

A proposal to shield appellate court clerks and their families from potential retaliation is once again advancing through the Legislature.
The Senate Judiciary Committee voted 9-1 Tuesday to approve SB 292 by Sen. Darryl Rouson, a St. Petersburg attorney, who noted that similar efforts cleared committees in recent years only to stall in the final days of session.
